For over two decades, he has distinguished himself through his leadership not only as an outstanding educator and relentless advocate for equity and inclusion, but also as an ambassador of the rich Afro-Cuban culture and music.
Osvaldo Garcia-Contreras has been recognized as one of the best among the salsa/timba dancers and instructors in the Pacific Northwest not only within the social theme, but also in the competitive arena.

One Night in Cuba
One Night in Cuba is an event designed to provide a fun and energetic atmosphere centered around Cuban culture, music, and dancing. There is always room for blending other Latin rhythms, but the main objective is to capture the essence of what a Cuban party looks like, sounds like, and feels like. This event takes place the first Friday of every month hosted by Aztec Willie’s Taqueria and Osvaldo Garcia-Contreras as the MC and DJ.
